Visiting a new church can be intimidating. We want to help make your visit a pleasant, comfortable, and memorable experience.
Where should I park?
We have parking on the east side of the church. This is at the intersection of West Walnut and Gregg. We also offer parking on the west side in the Acquaint Gatherings parking lot (map)
Greeters are stationed inside our east and west doors and will be happy to assist you in finding your way around. More than likely, they will hand you a worship bulletin which includes the agenda for the morning and other valuable information about what is happening.
What are your Sunday worship times?
We have two morning worship opportunities–9 and 10:30 AM. Each lasts about an hour and 10 minutes. Both of these services include the same Bible message. The only real difference is the music–and start time. We also have a Sunday night service.
9 AM: Our traditional/blended service. Led by our worship leader, the music is a traditional blend of hymns and choruses with the piano and organ and our sanctuary choir.
10:30 AM: Our contemporary service. The music is led by our worship team.
While the services are taking place, we offer a full Sunday School for all ages.
5 PM: At various times, we will offer Life Groups from 5-7 PM. A Life Group is a group of people (anywhere from 5-25) that get together to study a particular book of the Bible or a Bible theme. More information about Life Groups can be found on our church calendar.
6 PM: Worship/Bible Study (this is a new study and not the same lesson as Sunday AM)
6 PM: Children’s Choir (during school year)
What about children?
We do have a nursery for babies during all Sunday services. We also provide children (K-6th grade) and youth (7-12th) Sunday School classes at 9 and 10:30 AM. Our Kidz Church (K-5th grade) is at 9 AM in room 12. If you prefer, feel free to keep your children with you. We offer “Kids Kits” during both services. These kits have resources to keep your children engaged and entertained. Kids Kits are located at the front door of the sanctuary.
What should I wear?
We simply invite you to come and dress however you feel comfortable. You will find that folks at FBC come in a variety of dress, from casual jeans and t-shirts to “Sunday’s best” suits and dresses.
What other programs do you have?
We have lots of programs and activities throughout the week for adults, youth, and children–including AWANA at 6:00 PM Wednesdays (during school year) and ELEVATE youth program on Wednesdays at 6 PM (year round). In addition, we have a state-of-the-art gym that can also be used as a multipurpose room. Many of our members enjoy basketball and volleyball. Our AWANA program also meets in here on Wednesday nights.
